We work methodically, usually top down: the attic and upper floors first, then the living spaces and kitchen, then the cellar and garage that everyone forgets. Wardrobes and beds are dismantled, appliances disconnected, cupboards emptied, and the contents of a lifetime carried out by hand — including from the upper floors and no-lift buildings that fill much of Brussels. What we keep out of landfill
A full house holds a lot, and most of it should not be thrown away. Usable furniture and household goods go to reuse charities such as the Kringwinkel; appliances and electronics go to registered WEEE recycling; wood, metal, textiles, cardboard and green waste are separated for the right recycling streams. How long does a full house clearance take?
Most flats are done in a few hours and most houses within a day, depending on volume and access. We tell you the expected timing with the quote.
Can you clear a property with no lift and many stairs?
Yes — that is normal in Brussels. We carry everything down by hand, protect the staircase, and the floor level is already accounted for in the fixed price.
Will you set aside personal papers and valuables?
Always. We put aside documents, photographs and anything that looks personal or valuable for you, especially on estate clearances, and never dispose of them.
Do you leave the property clean?
We sweep through after clearing so the property is presentable for the agent, the notary or the état des lieux. A deeper end-of-tenancy clean can be arranged on request.
